People on the move: SAS Daniels; Trilanco; Winander Group Holdings; Wates Construction; Hallidays

Cheshire law firm SAS Daniels has grown its family team with the appointment of Anita Scorah as an associate and Cheryl Haywood as a solicitor.
The duo will provide clients with advice and support on family issues, including specialist areas of finance, children, LGBT issues and domestic violence.
Scorah, who is based at the firm’s Macclesfield office, has more than 15 years’ experience in family law, having previously worked as a solicitor at O’Neill Patient in Hazel Grove and Pannone Solicitors in Manchester.
She has specialist knowledge and experience of high net-worth cases such as asset division, divorce, financial issues and disputes involving children. She also has expertise in LGBT law after previously co-running the LGBT legal clinic in Manchester where she advised on civil partnership dissolutions and sperm donor issues.
Haywood, who will also be based at Macclesfield, will advise clients on the breakdown of marriages, financial matters and will offer information and support for victims of domestic violence.

Preston-based agricultural, equine and pet wholesaler Trilanco has appointed two new area managers to support trade sales of Harry Hall International brands across the UK.
The firm announced its exclusive UK trade sales and trade distribution rights of Harry Hall International earlier in July 2017. The deal further enhances the range of equine and pet products available to retail customers.
Angela Pearson joins Trilanco from Harry Hall where she worked for 16 years in a variety of roles including area sales manager. She will cover the North of England and Scotland.
Pearson said: “I’m really excited to be working for Trilanco, a growing and forward-thinking wholesaler who is looking to grow and support the retail trade.”
Charlotte Ridge also joins Trilanco from Harry Hall. She has more than three years’ trade sales experience and will cover the South of England up to Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Norfolk, including the Channel Islands and Isle of Wight.
She said: “I’m looking forward to meeting with retail customers to share the great range of products now available through Trilanco.”
Both are qualified City & Guilds hat and body protector fitters.

Windermere Lake Cruises’ parent company Winander Group Holdings has made three new high-level appointments.
Windermere Lake Cruises in the Lake District currently employs more than 170 people and makes 1.5 million passenger journeys every year, making it one of the top ten most popular ‘paid for’ visitor attractions in the country according to official VisitEngland figures.
The Board of Winander Group Holdings has now appointed three new subsidiary company directors, to help it plan for the future and continue driving the business forward.
They are: non-executive director John Brockbank, sales and marketing director Jennifer Cormack and director Andrew Simon.

Wates Construction, the contractor currently building Select Property Group’s Circle Square in Manchester, has made a move to ramp up its business development in the North West with the appointment of David Roberts as bid centre manager.
Roberts will lead all aspects of pre-construction as part of the contractor’s work winning across the North West. This will include supply chain coordination as well as overseeing tendering and building design.
Hisremit will include Wates’ operations in Cumbria, where the business has gained a foothold over the past 12 months. Current projects in the county include BAE Systems’ Central Training Facility and the flagship £30m Campus Whitehaven.
Bringing more than 25 years of industry experience, Roberts commences his new position following a 12-year tenure as an estimating manager for Balfour Beatty. Sectors of experience include education, acute health and renewable and nuclear energy.
Roberts is tasked with helping to grow the contractor’s portfolio across the region, specifically targeting commercial and education projects as well as the wider public sector to complement Wates’ current position on the North West Construction Hub.

Kevin Pitchford who ran the Kevin Pitchford & Co accountancy practice has joined Hallidays in Stockport, taking with him a portfolio of more than 120 SME clients.
He joins the Hallidays team run by director Anna Bennett.
This team work closely with SMEs helping their business owners to grow and develop their business.
Specialisms within the team are in the academy sector and not for profit.
Bennett has worked with schools for many years and has advised them in the areas of capital projects, cashflow, budgeting and KPI measuring. Anna has overall responsibility for the delivery of our external audit service.
Bennett director said: “Kevin has been closely linked with Hallidays for some time supporting us with our academy work and through our ‘Accountants Support Forum’, which supports sole practitioners so he was an excellent fit for Hallidays. I welcome the knowledge and expertise he brings to our team.”
Pitchford said: “After much consideration, I recently made the decision to retire from full time work. I have considered the future of the practice with a view to merging with a local firm, who could offer a professional service, with the additional support that would be beneficial to both clients and myself.
