Digital agency celebrates revenue growth to £4.3m

Inside Kagool

Manchester-based digital agency Kagool has made a raft of new hires, taking its headcount to 61.

The new hires come after a successful year for the agency, with a 42% revenue growth to £4.3m underpinned by five new client wins. Kagool is expecting similar levels of growth in coming months.

The agency, which was established in 1999 and opened its Manchester office in 2015, has appointed a new creative director, James Bearne.

Bearne will oversee Kagool’s creative output, providing another level to the service the agency offers.

Kagool has also added six supporting employees to its workforce, including three back end developers, a QA analyst, a content marketing executive and a project manager.

Kagool produces enterprise-level websites exclusively in Sitecore with personalisation features.

The team provides on-going digital services such as digital strategy, digital marketing, support and hosting for businesses with Sitecore. With these new team member acquisitions, Kagool will now be able to incorporate another level of creative design into its already established strategy, elevating its offering further.

Kagool boasts clients both in the north and across the globe, including large household names such as Fairtrade and Saint Gobain. It also has offices in Cardiff and London.

Craig Johnson, director at Kagool, said of the recent expansion: “After securing a wealth of additional clients in the north, we decided to open what was originally a satellite office in Manchester. We have since grown at a considerable rate, with projected growth for the next year creating the need to increase our headcount.

“Kagool is a Sitecore platinum partner, meaning we are amongst the best in the world at what we do. We also have more Sitecore MVPs than any agency in Manchester, constantly developing our team to be the best. By expanding the team, we will now be able to provide our clients with additional services, such as the creative design element of website build, and can also continue developing our offering and skillsets.

“With the rate at which we’re growing, we’re excited to see what the next few years looks like for Kagool, and how we can contribute to Manchester businesses looking to take their next steps in digital marketing.”
