Bespoke strikes deal to operate Blackpool hotel

Bespoke Hotels has secured a lease to operate Blackpool’s Lyndene Hotel, furthering its partnership with Fragrance Group, which purchased the property this month.

Following the acquisition of the town’s Imperial Hotel in January, The Lyndene forms part of a significant and ongoing expansion into the UK market by the Singaporean company.

Previously Blackpool’s largest family-run hotel, The Lyndene Hotel had been owned by the Young family for more than 25 years.

The property boasts 140 en-suite rooms, three bar areas, two restaurants, as well as two sea-view lounges showcasing a wide range of popular nightly entertainment, including comedy and musical tribute acts.

Located just one minute from Blackpool Beach, the property is also conveniently located for access to the city’s famed Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Stadium, as well as national rail links.

“The acquisition of The Lyndene Hotel represents a further milestone in the partnership between Bespoke Hotels and Fragrance Group,” said Haydn Fentum, chief executive of Bespoke Hotels. “At a time when investment to the UK hotel market is at a record high, we are thrilled to be working alongside them as they continue to invest substantially in tourism and hospitality across the country.”

“The Lyndene will sit alongside developments in Manchester, Harrogate, Torquay and Liverpool, and stand as a key pillar of our investment strategy across the UK”, added James Koh, founder, chairman and CEO of Fragrance Group. “We are delighted to have secured Bespoke Hotels’ expertise as we continue to expand across the UK market.”
