Missy Empire trumpets £500K sales in record month

Missy Empire features in top three

Manchester-based Online fashion retailer Missy Empire is celebrating its most successful month of trading yet, generating more than half a million pounds’ worth of sales in August 2017 – an increase of 22% on the previous month.

The 31-day period from August 1 saw a record turnover of above £500,000, with the last day of the month generating the most sales, surpassing the £30,000 mark.

Owner Ash Siddique attributes the record sales to a number of factors including launching pieces before its competitors and a range of styles that are designed by and exclusive to Missy Empire.

He said: “Missy Empire.com has gone from strength-to-strength in the two years since we started trading, and August is a testament to not only the hard work of the team, but Missy Empire’s high standing in such a crowded marketplace also.

“We’re proud to have established ourselves in the market so quickly and hope to continue to celebrate record months as we continue to grow and attract new customers.”

Missy Empire launched in May, 2015 and is now looking ahead to a record-breaking third year, with turnover on track to exceed targets of £6.5million and the team having grown from three to 24 members of staff. The site currently hosts over 3,000 different lines, with prices ranging from £5 to £80.
