Workman moves into The Observatory

Workman, the largest independent commercial property management and building consultancy firm in the UK has signed a lease on more than 7,000sq ft of space at The Observatory in Manchester.

The company has now occupied the entire third floor of the city centre office scheme, overlooking St Ann’s Square, after penning the deal with owner Universities Superannuation Scheme.

Only two floors in the nine storey scheme have space left available with 6,651sq ft on the first floor and 4,451sq ft on the second floor.

Rhys Evans, office agency surveyor at GVA said: “The Observatory is a prominent office building in the heart of Manchester’s central business district. The enhanced refurbishment, the quality of the office space available and the location of the building have all added to the popularity and recent success of The Observatory.”

Richard Cooper, partner at Workman and head of office said: “Employing close to 100 people in Manchester the time is right to relocate to larger and modern premises. We undertook extensiveconsultation with our teams to ensure the location and office environment met the needs of our growing workforce.”
