Ex-TV producer launches Lakeland PR company

Caroline Page

Former television producer Caroline Page has launched a new Cumbrian PR firm.

After 15 years in television, during which time she produced several award-winning documentaries with gongs including an Emmy nomination, RTS award, and Czech Crystal, Page has launched Chilli Communication which will primarily focus on the arts, the legal sector, and financial sector representing both local and national businesses.

Since moving to PR 12 months ago, Page has written articles on behalf of clients for The Independent, the Financial Times, and the Huffington Post, and has secured coverage across national and local radio and TV.

“Whether telling the story behind Handel’s Messiah or the latest development in Fintech, the rules of presenting content in an engaging and compelling way are fundamentally the same” Page said; “Moving to Cumbria has been a revelation – the strength of the business community, wealth of talent, vibrant arts scene and, dare I admit it, impressive communications companies too – means I’m excited about what the future holds.

“I’m particularly grateful to South Lakeland District Council and the MintWorks team, where Chilli is based, for the fantastic support they provide for a start-up business like mine. We’ve got off to a great start, so I’m looking to start recruiting others to join the Chilli team from early 2018.”

As well as communications, Chilli offers media training and can produce broadcast quality corporate films.

This isn’t the first time Page has made a splash. Last summer she featured across several Cumbrian news outlets when she was knocked off her sailing boat and had to be rescued by Windermere’s chain ferry.
