Bank appoints new director to support mid-market companies

The bank HSBC has bolstered its support for mid-market businesses across Liverpool, Cheshire, North Wales and North Staffordshire with the appointment of a new area director.

In his new role, Tom Carter will be responsible for leading the growth of the mid-market team, supporting firms with annual turnovers between £6.5m and £350m.

Carter has extensive experience across the banking sector in the North West. Since joining HSBC in 2003, he has spent the majority of his career within the bank’s corporate business, principally in the North West following his previous roles in the large corporate team and more recently as deputy area director in Greater Manchester.

As area director, he will oversee a team of 25 relationship managers and support teams and will support public and private sector businesses with tailored funding, risk and cash management tools and international trade expertise.
