Law firm advises on city’s first Irish bar opening for decade

Commercial law firm Kuits Solicitors has advised on the opening of Kiely’s Irish bar in Manchester.

The first Irish bar to open in the city centre for 10 years, Kiely’s is a contemporary take on the traditional Irish pub.

The bar will host live music on weekends and will be introducing a food menu in mid-October, which will include a selection of Irish tapas.

Kuits commercial property partner Martin Davies and solicitor Kate Kurtz provided legal and commercial advice to owner Andy Kiely on the letting and re-fit of the space at 1 Watson Street.

Tony Lyons, head of licensing for Kuits, advised on the grant of the Premises Licence, supported by associate Rebecca Ingram.

Davies said: “We are delighted to have helped Andy and his team on securing a prime location for their Irish bar, providing a thorough legal offering to help bring the space to life.

“Manchester has strong and well established Irish connections and we wish Kiely’s every success with what we are sure will be a much-anticipated opening.”
