Low-cost business centre opens up

The first in what is to become a chain of low-cost business centres across Greater Manchester has opened its doors in Stretford.

Aura Business Centre is the first to break the price rental mould in the city because, unlike much of the competition, it is owned not leased by the developer Huxley Hargraves, best known in Greater Manchester as a developer of upmarket homes.

With 48 offices available from just £185 per workstation, it offers a range of high tech support services – high speed broadband, satellite, enhanced telephony – a package the company claims cannot be matched at the price anywhere in Greater Manchester.

And such has been the demand that, according to Aura director Sunil Mehta,”people were knocking on the front door almost before we had it in place”.

“We have great faith in Manchester as a central pivot of the Northern Powerhouse which we feel will flourish after Brexit,” said Sunil Mehta. “As a centre of entrepreneurship, it is important that we give local firms cost effective space in which to develop.

“That’s why we are currently looking to acquire 10 more sites for low-cost business centres across the city which we are hoping to bring on line in next two years.”
