People on the move: Gas Tag; Tindall Perry; WorkMobile

Liverpool-headquartered technology company Gas Tag has appointed a new executive to help grow the business.

Neil Thompson, who has an extensive background working in the construction, supply chain compliance and safety industry, joins the company from Capita where he previously held sales and marketing director positions with their supplier assessment services business.

Thompson has been given responsibility for the growth and development in the market place of Gas Tag.

It uses technology to help landlords, housing associations and local authorities to enforce gas safety regulations.

Thompson said: “Gas Tag is a business with massive potential and it is an exciting time for me to join the company.”

Tindall Perry Partnership has appointed Daniel Simmonite to head up its growing finance division.

Simmonite joins from Robert Walters, where he spent 10 years managing permanent and interim teams across the accountancy and finance sector.

He has experience in recruiting across blue chip and SME clients across the North of England and overseas.

In his new role, Simmonite will be responsible for the continued growth of the Tindall Perry Finance brand, as well as expanding the existing team. The placement of senior finance professionals across the UK will fall under his responsibilities as well.

In addition, Cath Priestly joins the firm as candidate manager to further strengthen the firm’s finance brand. Priestly is an experienced recruiter with expertise in assignments from senior to part-qualified finance roles. Karen Smith also joins as marketing and projects manager to boost Tindall Perry’s marketing offering.

Following the recruitment of Michael Avis as director in its executive brand earlier this year, this is the latest in a series of senior appointments at the Manchester-based firm.

Manchester-based WorkMobile, a cloud-based data capture specialist, has appointed Thomas Walley as new business development manager to bolster its expansion plans.

With more than four years experience in the built environment sector and eight years sales experience, Walley will help WorkMobile to expand its services across new sectors and drive the business forward.

Walley has worked as an assistant quantity surveyor at J & S Seddon and as a commercial manager at Laing O’Rourke and AMOS Developments. He moved in to the sales industry, and for the past six years, has been the sales and account manager at MRC Print Consultancy.

In his new role at WorkMobile, Walley will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities in new and already existing sectors. Building long term relationships with new clients to improve brand recognition and increase market reach will be his focus as well.
