Law firm opens in WH Smith

LAW firm Stephensons has set up a new Legal Access Point within the WHSmith store in Wigan under the QualitySolictors brand.
The firm was a founder member of the QualitySolicitors network on its launch in March 2009 in a bid to be part of a national high street brand of consumer law networks in the run-up to the Legal Services Act.
Stephensons has already opened a QualitySolicitors branch in Wigan town centre, but believes the new Legal Access Point will help shoppers to access legal services while in store.
The device is run by trained customer service staff who can provide quotes for conveyancing, book appointments for legal advice and even sell vouchers for Wills.
Programmed iPad ‘apps’ will be used by staff to book appointments with the firm.
Ann Harrison, chairwoman of QualitySolicitors Stephensons, said: “We are very excited about the new Legal Access Point which will bring legal services directly to our potential customers.
“We hope that by having a presence within WHSmith, we can help people to make that first step to seeing a solicitor about virtually any legal matter.”
