Manchester law firm bought by rival out of administration

A Manchester law firm has been sold as a going concern immediately after entering administration.

Andrew Hosking and Sean Bucknall of Quantuma were appointed as joint administrators at at Almond Solicitors, founded in 2011 and employing 11 staff, on Friday (November 24).

Director Bucknall said the business had been sold to Aticus Law, which would be “the successor practice, thereby ensuring the protection of client interests”.

Aticus has offices in Manchester and Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Samantha Palmer from Ashfords LLP, who has been appointed as the solicitor manager, said: “Ashfords’ professional & financial risks team are very pleased to provide the essential regulatory support so as to ensure that clients’ interests have continued to be protected.
