Manchester-based Glaisyers Solicitors is set to create a number of jobs after securing a new bank funding deal.

The firm said the £850,000 refinancing package will provide it with flexible capital to invest in the development of the business, which includes attracting new people and developing its marketing, training and IT systems.

Established in 1974, Glaisyers is a multidisciplinary law firm which specialises in providing legal guidance for SMEs across the North West. It also has a client base in Yorkshire, the Midlands and London. The firm additionally offers personal injury claims, wills and trusts, conveyancing and road traffic collision services.

With a turnover of £4.5m, the firm currently employs more than 60 people across the North West, and plans to grow this team by 10% over the next 12 months.

Nick Johnson, managing partner, Glaisyers Solicitors, said: “Established more than 40 years ago, we have grown through the strength of our reputation. We are now at a stage where we are ready to make a significant investment in our people and our operations and thanks to NatWest, we are in a position to put this investment into action.

“The funding will allow us to achieve our objectives to attract new talent and support our staff in developing new business streams while supporting change so we can be more efficient in what we do.

“We see a real place in the market for a business of our size, setting ourselves ahead of the competition by going the extra mile for our commercial and legal clients.”

Nick Leeland, relationship director at NatWest, said: “We worked with Glaisyers to identify areas where we can be of mutual benefit, creating a fit for purpose funding package which will enable its growth aspirations. The deal provides a strong foundation not just for the Glaisyers, but for the continued working relationship between the bank and company.”
