Liz Knight

International corporate finance house Clearwater International has appointed Liz Knight in a new role as head of learning and development, based in its Manchester offic.

Knight joins the business with 20 years’ experience, having previously held senior HR leadership roles.

She is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has a masters degree in strategic HR management.

In her new role Knight will be leading the training and development across all 15 offices of the international business.

Her responsibilities include analysing the business’ people practices and building upon its current talent development strategy, including an international training curriculum and utilising learnings from best practice, as well as formalising the secondment programme.

Knight said: “Clearwater International is a business that has grown its position both in the UK and internationally.

“Having visited the international offices, I have been excited by the talent in the business and the level of dedication and engagement.”

Legal firm Aaron & Partners, which has offices in Chester, Manchester and Shrewbury, has strengthened its marketing team with the appointment of Christos Kottis as its new head of marketing.

A chartered marketer since 2003, Kottis joins the Chester-based law firm with more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and business development across a range of B2B sectors.

Most recently Kottis, whose areas of expertise include renewable energy, industrial (MRO) distribution and publishing, has worked as a management consultant and trainer, supporting businesses with their growth strategy and management skills training. He also speaks fluent French, Greek and English.

He said: “I’m incredibly honoured to have been given the chance to join the team at Aaron & Partners at a time of real growth for the business.

“The ethos and values of the firm fit perfectly with the way that I have always worked. I am passionate about creating marketing strategies that achieve sustainable and profitable growth and I cannot wait to get started in what I know will be a hugely rewarding role.”
