Law firm scores with Rugby Super League deal
Southport-based medical negligence specialist Patient Claim Line, the consumer brand of Fletchers Solicitors, has partnered up with the Rugby Super League in an innovative two-year sponsorship deal.
The partnership will see Patient Claim Line sponsoring all video referee decisions at the Betfred Super League games from February.
The firm said the deal will support its wider marketing and PR campaign and generate brand awareness, with its sponsorship material featuring live on Sky Sports during coverage of the Betfred Super League season.
Patient Claim Line’s chief executive, Ed Fletcher, said: “We are determined to break down the barrier between injured patients and justice so that people who have been affected by medical negligence can get the help they need to rebuild their lives.
“People need a real expert to review their case quickly and give them a straight forward, simple, honest answer as to whether or not they have a case. The way the match officials in Super League use the video referee to achieve a similar goal is a wonderful metaphor for our service.”
Super League general manager, Mark Foster, said: “We are pleased to welcome Patient Claim Line to the sport and hope that this is the start of a fantastic relationship with a new partner.
“Referral to a video referee is a hot topic in sport at the moment but it is something we have been doing for 20 years in the Super League. This new partnership with Patient Claim Line is a first for Rugby League and I am sure it will give the company huge brand exposure throughout the 2018 and 2019 season.”
