Character World signs new Disney contracts

Cheadle, Greater Manchester-based Character World has reinforced its 11-year relationship with Disney after signing new contracts covering the UK and Ireland, Scandanavia and the Benelux region.

The textiles manufacturer will continue to produce a range of bedding and coordinating accessories including single and double duvet sets, fleece blankets, cushions and teepees featuring the Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm portfolio of brands.

2018 marks the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse which will be celebrated with the launch of a commemorative range due to be released later this year.

Other new Disney and Marvel releases set to hit cinemas this year include Marvel’s Avengers Infinity War, Disney Pixar The Incredibles 2, Disney Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2 and Disney Mary Poppins Returns.

Founded in 1998, Character World works with some of the world’s leading entertainment companies. It supplies retailers across the UK including Primark, Asda, Next, Dunelm and Argos as well as a wide range of major Nordics and Benelux retailers.

Palatine Private Equity backed Character World in a secondary management buyout in December 2014.
