Lake District hotel on the market for £2m-plus
A historic hotel with a lake frontage and access jetty in Coniston at the heart of the Lake District is on the market for £2m-plus.
The hotels team at real estate adviser Colliers International, acting on behalf of Post Office Fellowship of Remembrance, is seeking offers for the freehold of the Waterhead Hotel.
The Victorian former manor house boasts 24 en-suite bedrooms, impressive public areas, a substantial restaurant and well-furnished grand public areas, landscaped grounds extending to approximately four acres and been operated as a hotel for more than 100 years. There is also a conference and meeting rooms, suitable for weddings and business seminars.

We are already experiencing heightened demand for the Lakes on the back of it recently being designated a UNESCO world heritage site, being one of the UK’s premier tourist destinations.”
