Building consultancy launches rights of light service

James Onions

Manchester-based building and project consultancy Paragon has launched a rights of light and daylight consulting service as it continues to expand its integrated offer in the North West.

Paragon now provides rights of light advice to commercial developers, funders, architects, planning consultants and housebuilders throughout pre-acquisition, feasibility and detailed design.

The new service also combines with the consultancy’s existing neighbourly matters offer to further maximise potential and minimise risk throughout the development process.

Paragon director and head of the Manchester office, James Onions, said: “We have every confidence that our rights of light service will play a significant role in our further expansion in the region.

“As with all our services, our rights of light team will quickly establish issues, identify opportunities and deliver positive commercial outcomes for our clients.”

Paragon’s rights of light service is led by director, Anthony Harris, who has specialised in rights of light, daylight and sunlight and party wall matters for 20 years.

Before joining the business, he was a partner at rights of light specialist surveying firm GIA.

Paragon’s North West-based clients include Property Alliance Group, Northwood, Praxis, Select Property Group and City Block.

The consultancy has revenues of £12.2m and employs more than 100 people, twenty of them based at the Free Trade Exchange in Manchester.

The remainder work out of its London and Edinburgh offices.
