Record year for Direct Food Ingredients

Macclesfield-based Direct Food Ingredients is celebrating a significant uplift in its annual sales in the 2017 calendar year to £21.2m.
Revenue to December 31 is 22% up on the prior year’s figure of £17.6m, making the 12 month period the most successful in its 23-year history.
The ingredients specialist has continued to benefit from a number of key developments, including the further expansion of its highly successful US operation in California, the roll out of its now substantial own label brand Blue Diamond and the company’s on-going improvements in the areas of customer service which underpin all areas of operation and bolster the firm’s notable client retention and new client acquisition figures.
Direct Food Ingredients managing director Steve Loake said: “We are immensely proud to report another incredible year. Our expansion has continued both here in the UK and in the States, with our focus on customer service remaining central to everything we do.
