Bellway starts new homes development in Salford

Edenfields

Groundworks have started on a development of 107 homes in the Boothstown area of Salford.

The 9.7-acre site, off Highclove Lane and Malkins Wood Lane, is where Bellway Homes is building the houses.

The development will be known as Edenfields and comprises a mix of three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached homes, all with garages or off road parking.

Sales director at Bellway Homes, Louise Chamberlain, said: “Edenfields in Boothstown is a great location and one of the most highly sought after areas in the borough of Salford.

“Close to the canal and with open aspects on both boundaries it promises to offer the best of both worlds for residents who can be in the city centre or the countryside within 10 minutes. It’s our third scheme in Salford and we look forward to introducing more purchasers in the area to our high quality new build homes.”

As part of the planning application, Bellway Homes is making a Section 106 contribution of £307,803 to Salford Council towards education.

It will also help undertake a number of improvement projects in the area including improvements to Bridgewater Nature Park, habitat compensation areas for local wildlife, improvements to bus stops, sustainable transport and the provision of two new pedestrian crossings.
