The long-serving managing director of Birkenhead based Park Retail is stepping down from the board of Park Group.

Gary Woods is the managing director of Park Retail, a subsidiary of the Birkenhead based Park Group.
He is standing down from the board as he approaches retirement from the role.

A statement from the firm said: “As he approaches his retirement from the company, Gary will assist with the orderly handover of his operational duties to Julian Coghlan who has been with Park since August 2017.”

Julian was previously executive director of Adare SEC Limited a leading provider of secure communication technology.

Laura Carstensen, Chairman of Park, said: “We would like to thank Gary for the important contribution he has made to Park over more than three decades of dedicated service.

“He will provide valuable advice and support to Julian during this interim period. We are confident that Julian will excel in his new role.”

Mr Woods was appointed the board in 2001 and he joined the firm with the acquisition of Chrisco Hampers in 1980.
