Delays on busy road following accident
The A66 has been closed to traffic eastbound between the A685 (Brough) and the A67 (Bowes) due to a serious collision.
The accident took place earlier today and the carriageway is still being cleared.
Traffic is being diverted via local roads by emergency services who are at the scene.
Road users intending on using this section of road are being advised to allow plenty of extra time for their journey.
