Relocation enables Walker Smith Global to expand

The Cross Street premises

OBI Property has announced that Manchester-based professional service provider, Walker Smith Global, has taken the entire fourth floor (2,830sq ft) of 26 Cross Street in Manchester.

The company has taken a five-year lease.

Walker Smith Global provides accountancy services to freelancers, contractors and the self-employed.

The company is moving from 53 King Street as it required larger office space to accommodate its business growth. It has recently acquired a London-based accountancy specialist, IMS, and is going through a major rebranding process.

Walker Smith Global managing director Matt Tyson said: “We are thrilled to be moving into 26 Cross Street.

“It has what we are looking for in a workplace to grow our team and business. We were keen to have a prime city centre location that has easy access to major transportation as it will allow us to retain and attract more talent.

“The new office also has room for us to grow and space for our consultants and clients to use for networking.

“We look forward to growing our business from our new Cross Street home.”

Paul Mills, transactions and asset management at Manchester-based OBI Property, said: “We are pleased to be able to assist Walker Smith Global in finding their new office.
“26 Cross Street is located at the heart of the city surrounded by dynamic businesses across many sectors.”

OBI Property represented Walker Smith Global on the acquisition, design and project management.

The owners of the building represented themselves.
