Motorists are being warned to avoid M6 following accident
Motorists are being warned to avoid the M6 in Cheshire following a serious accident.
There are severe delays on the M6 northbound in Cheshire, due to a collision closing 2 lanes between J16 at Crewe and J17 at Sandbach.
The accident has taken place in the roadworks on the motorway.
A spokesperson for Highways England said: “Traffic is able to pass in 1 lane however, due to the delays we are advising road users to allow plenty of extra travelling time and to consider taking alternative routes.”
