Marks & Spencer has  announced it will be opening the doors to its new store in St Helens at Ravenshead Retail Park on Thursday, March 14, at 10am.

The 40,000 sq ft store will showcase thousands of M&S products across clothing, home and food, as well as offering convenient click and collect for customers who purchase on M&S.com

M&S’s current store on Church Street, which has been serving customers for 90 years, closes on Saturday, March 2.

All of the team will move over to the store, using the few days in-between to put the finishing touches on the Ravenhead Retail Park store.

Lucy Grimes will be M&S’s store manager at Ravenhead Retail Park St Helens, moving across from her current role as store manager at the Church Street store.

She said: “My team and I are really excited about relocating to our new store.

“As well as larger clothing and home departments, we’re really looking forward to offering new services, including St Helens’ first M&S Café.

“Cutting the ribbon and welcoming customers into our new store will be a great moment for the team and marks the start of our next chapter – I hope lots of local customers will pop down and join us.”

Spanning two floors, the store will offer expanded clothing and home departments compared with the previous premises on Church Street.

Highlights include an extensive womenswear department that extends across most of the ground floor, showcasing Spring must-haves and M&S’s wardrobe essentials, as well as a lingerie department offering walk-in bra fitting.

The foodhall will showcase the latest seasonal products, while, for those looking for a spot to relax while browsing, a wide selection of snacks, meals and hot and cold beverages will be available in the 64-seat Café.

Full ranges will be available via M&S’s click and collect service.

When customers order products on M&S.com they will be able to opt for next day pick-up. M&S colleagues will also be able to use their Honeywell devices to help customers order online if they can’t find what they’re after in the shop.

The store, located at Ravenhead Retail Park, Milverny Way, will also provide more than 1,300 car parking spaces.
