A fast food chain is to launch its first store in the North West in Bolton.

Oodles Chinese, which already has four successful branches in the Midlands, is opening its doors in the town this week.

The chain serves Indo Chinese food with customers choosing their starters and main dishes which are filled in small, medium or large boxes.

Dishes include Malaysian chicken, chilli chicken, Chinese lamb curry, chilli prawns, teriyaki chicken, schezuan beef stir fry and crispy prawns.

The 50-seater restaurant will employ 20 staff.

The opening is part of an ambitious growth strategy for the brand targeting 10 more openings by 2020 creating over 200 new jobs.

In the next six weeks, it will open stores in Luton, Coventry and Nottingham.

Mohammed Umar, director, said: “We are delighted to finally open the doors to our first store in the North West and really excited to begin this new journey in Bolton.

“We want Derby St to be our flagship store in the North West and the first of a long chain in the region creating jobs for the locality.

“We genuinely believe our concept of fresh and unique tasting food is something Bolton has never experienced before.

“We chose Derby St specifically due to the high footfall in the area and we already have a large fan base here.

“We are now actively looking for new sites and franchise partners in the region and across the UK to help us achieve our expansion plans.”
