Royal Albert Dock

A popular Liverpool city centre restaurant has announced it is opening its third branch at the Royal Albert Dock.

Maray, which has branches in Bold Street and Allerton Road, is opening its third site this summer.

The new restaurant will serve a Middle Eastern-inspired menu serving a diverse selection of vegetarian, vegan and meat and fish small plates.

It will seat up to 65 people and will also have a cocktail bar with views of the Dock.

Maray was founded five years ago by partners Thomas White, James Bates and Dominic Jones.

Chris Wright, portfolio manager for Aberdeen Standard Investments which manages the retail offering at the dock, said: “We’re delighted Maray has chosen the Royal Albert Dock as the new home for its third opening.

“Maray will set perfectly amongst the additional recent signings, making the Dock’s Britannia Pavilion one of Liverpool’s key restaurant destinations.”

Director and Co-founder of Maray Tom White said: “We were really impressed with the recent signings at the Royal Albert Dock and we’re looking forward to being part of the new food and drink line-up.

“As a business, Liverpool is where we’ve cut our cloth – Bold Street provided us with the perfect introduction to the hospitality scene and continues to do well.

“With such a diverse mix of visitors at the Dock, we felt we could introduce Maray to a new audience and we are excited to grow with the launch of the third site.”

The Barrie Brothers’ new restaurant is also opening at the tourist attraction this summer.
