Popular stir fry chain opens in Manchester

A popular restaurant chain has opened a new branch in Manchester with the backing of a seven figure bank loan.

Wok to Walk, which specialises in stir-fried Asian cuisine, opened the new restaurant thanks to a funding package from HSBC UK.

The new city centre branch is the firm’s 14th opening in the UK.

The Asian restaurant group opened its new 950 sq. ft. Barton Arcade Deansgate restaurant to the public this week.

The eatery gives diners the opportunity to choose from a three-step menu affordable meal stir-fried in front of them.

Customers are given the choice of sitting in its 44 seat restaurant or buying a meal to takeaway.

The new restaurant will create up to 15 new jobs and an anticipated £800,000 of sales in the next 12 months.

Ismail Adam, co-director of the Leeds and Manchester Wok to Walks, said: “This is the North West’s second Wok to Walk, and it is a privilege to bring it to the heart of Manchester.

“The reason why the restaurant is so popular right around the world is simple – we give our customers tasty, healthy and affordable food.

Wok to Walk was established in Amsterdam in 2004. Since then, the group has grown to over 100 restaurants across the world, from Israel to Ecuador to Morocco.

It has 13 restaurants in the UK, including ones in Leeds and Liverpool.
