Tennis event back for seventh consecutive year

Boodles Tennis was back for its seventh consecutive year last week, enjoying another year of success.

Clique Events staged three  days of tennis, networking and a ‘garden party’ bigger than ever.

The event, held at The Mere hotel in Knutsford, was sold out across all three days, with over 1,000 guests turning out for the tournament.

Guests sipped champagne as seven of the world’s most successful tennis legends took to the courts and entertained the crowd.

The list of stars included Mikael Pernfors, Xavier Malisse, Barbara Schett, Asa Svensson, Richard Krajicek, Thomas Enqvist and Younes El Aynaoui.

Boodles was re-joined by associate sponsors Bentley, Myersons, Sedulo, Weston’s Cide, Paretura Commercial Finance, Impulse Decision, Lululemon, Blankstone Opticians and U.P. Personal Training.

The tournament, raised in excess of £10,000 for the Matt Haycox Foundation – a children’s charity which aims to provide financial support to the lives of seriously and terminally ill children and their families.

Clique Events boss Matt Haycox, said: “We are extremely proud of this year’s Boodles Tennis at The Mere.

“We’ve been really lucky with the weather as the sun came out every day! We’ve had some fantastic feedback from our guests and sponsors, and we are already receiving enquiries for the next years’ event.

“I would like to thank again all of our guests and our amazing sponsors for making this year’s tennis possible. There’s so much to look forward to next year.”
