Luxury car dealership to launch UK first at Stockport site
LSH Auto UK is to open the UK’s first Mercedes-Benz Autohaus, a dedicated retail space that will form part of the brand new Mercedes-Benz of Stockport, this month.
Mercedes-Benz of Stockport is a regenerated site, with a state-of-the art, purpose-built three-storey facility which will form LSH Auto UK’s Mercedes-Benz hub for the entire Manchester area.
Two buildings will form the flagship site – a 13,492 sq m showroom – the Autohaus; a retail space for new and used cars and an aftersales facility, and a 17,166 sq m purpose-built high-tech body, paint and repair centre, which is now open.
This building also operates LSH Auto UK’s regional used car preparation facility and parts distribution centre.
A destination in its own right, spread over 10.5 acres, Mercedes-Benz of Stockport comes complete with distinct, innovative features including a brand new bistro, dedicated event facilities and garden, as well as a sleek-designed dealership space showcasing 140 vehicles.
It will also incorporate a dedicated AMG suite, a boardroom-style venue, and display 100 approved used Mercedes Benz vehicles in a purpose-built indoor showroom.
The group, which was launched three years ago following the purchase of existing sites from the Mercedes-Benz Retail Group, has also redeveloped a site in Birmingham.
It said these two new launches are significant developments as both sites are aligned with the brand’s promise – ‘You Come First. Always’ – which focuses on putting the customer, and the customer experience, at the heart of everything they do.
The group also appointed Martyn Webb as managing director in November last year with new appointments across HR, IT and marketing.
Mr Webb said: “We’ve come a long way since 2016, seeing remarkable renovations to the acquired sites and also the development of brand-new industry-leading facilities that are able to provide our customers with an incredible level of service.
“We want to be the change in automotive retailing and our brand promise of ‘You always come first’ is our main focus moving forward.”
