Accountancy practice announces further expansion and recruitment plans

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has announced further expansion in Liverpool as it takes a second office in the city at One Tithebarn Street.

This news comes less than 18 months after the firm trebled space at Temple Street.

The additional 8,000 sq ft takes the total space occupied to 25,000 sq ft in the city.

BDO is scheduled to move into One Tithebarn in October.

Now employing more than 250 in Liverpool, the new office will allow for around 150 additional roles.

BDO has developed strong links with universities in the city and wider region to support recruitment as the business grows.

Ed Dwan, partner at BDO in the North West, said: “The growth of the team in Liverpool is reflective of the successful year we’ve had as a firm.

“We announced a merger with Moore Stephens creating a larger and stronger business and we’ve seen strong organic growth in the region.

“We’re committed to Liverpool because of the quality of talent and businesses based here.”

Nigel Britton, director at BDO, added: “This year alone, we’ve created more than 100 jobs and strengthened our links in the Liverpool region.

“Now we’ve set our sights on more ambitious targets and will continue to recruit the right team to help deliver this.”
