A medical products company based in Deeside is buying an American business.

ConvaTec announced this morning it has signed an agreement to purchase the assets of Southlake Medical Supplies.

The acquisition is expected to close on 30 September, subject to the usual formalities.

“We look forward to bringing our distinctive service and personal support to even more customers, as the leading supplier of urinary catheters in the US.”

ConvaTec is a global medical products and technologies company focused on therapies for the management of chronic conditions.

It is a market leader in advanced wound care, ostomy care, continence and critical care, and infusion devices.

ConvaTec’s products provide a range of clinical and economic benefits including infection prevention, protection of at-risk skin, improved patient outcomes and reduced total cost of care.
