Intelligent Conversation is talk of the town with London opening

The Intelligent Conversation team in Manchester

Manchester-based PR agency Intelligent Conversation has embarked on expansion plans after opening a London office.

It means the firm now employs its biggest team of staff, including two new hires, as it celebrates record revenues in its 10th anniversary year.

While Manchester remains the agency’s headquarters, the firm’s new London operation, in the West End district of Bloomsbury, will be used to grow its national and international client portfolio.

As Intelligent Conversation expands its geographical spread, it has also continued to add to its team, which is now 16-strong.

Its latest hire is senior consultant Richard Bond, a strategic comms specialist with more than 15 years’ experience in B2B and public sector work.

Formerly director of strategy at Manchester firm SKV Communications, Richard will help to grow Intelligent Conversation’s award-winning B2B communications division.

Managing director, Kate Jones, said: “We are continuing to invest in our talented team and our proposition, with exciting plans for the coming year including our new base in London.

“While Manchester will remain our HQ, we have a growing list of London and internationally-based clients and believe it’s time to take the next step and create new opportunities for growth.”

The agency has also appointed a new associate – measurement specialist Steph Bridgeman – to strengthen its processes for measuring the impact of communications work, and to develop new services for clients.

Agency founder and chief executive Libby Howard said: “Being able to demonstrate the business impact of our work is an important competitive advantage and it helps our clients to retain and grow their communications budgets.”

Founded in 2009 with a promise to give clients direct access to senior talent, the agency has built a strong client portfolio including major global B2B, healthcare and consumer brands, as well as public sector organisations.

And, marking its 10th anniversary, it has achieved its highest turnover of £1.4m – compared with £1.3m the previous year – and continuing growth in profit.

Kate Jones said: “Reaching 10 years in business is a significant milestone, but we are not standing still.”
