Motorists warned to expect delays following incident on M60

Motorists are being warned to expect delays on the M60 following a crash near the Prestwich junction.

Two cars were involved in the accident on the clockwise lane of the motorway between junction 17, for Whitefield Interchange and junction 18, for Simister Island.

According to reports there are queues on the motorway back to junction 15 for the Swinton Interchange.

Traffic was blocked  while traffic officers moved the cars to the hard shoulder. All lanes have now re-opened but motorists are being warned to expect delays of up to 30 mins.

The incident took place around 6.50am this morning.
