Work starts on £90m development in heart of Liverpool

Parliament Square

Work has started on a £90m development in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle.

Developers say the Parliament Square project is set to become one of the most popular in the city centre.

The scheme, which is being carried out by Legacie Developments, will include 500 apartments in four separate blocks.

The project includes a new public square alongside restaurants, shops new amenities.

John Morley of Legacie Developments, said: “Parliament Square will have a transformative impact on Liverpool and will provide a significant boost to the area immediately outside of the city centre.

“The public plaza will also be a gateway into the Baltic Triangle. This is a major development. The significant international and regional interest in the scheme reflects Liverpool’s appeal as a thriving destination to live and work.

“We expect it to become one of Liverpool’s most popular addresses.”

The scheme includes a luxury rooftop and swimming pool.

Prices for the one, two and three-bedroom apartments start at £94,000, and plans for the development were approved by the council in autumn last year.

The scheme also includes a penthouse flat which has been priced at £1.5m.
