Telecoms provider awarded Crown Commercial Supplier status

Chester telecoms provider, Vivio, has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s Network Services 2 framework.

Crown Commercial Service is an executive agency of the Cabinet Office.

Vivio says its mission is to provide the best communication solutions, combined with its award-winning service.

With this in mind, securing the framework had always remained a top priority for Vivio, which said the rigorous submission process only highlights the importance of being awarded the three-year contract alongside companies such as Virgin Media, Vodafone and O2, among others.

As one of only 16 approved companies across the UK to provide mobile solutions to the public sector, the firm said it is relishing the opportunity to provide
services to all public sector organisations in the UK, including central government, local government and the NHS.

The Crown Commercial Service plays an important role in helping the UK public sector save money when buying common goods and services.

The framework allows the public sector to have access to the best levels of service and value for money. Despite this, Vivio has still been able to win big public sector clients while sitting on the periphery of the previous Network Services framework, forging key relationships with Cheshire West and Chester Council and City of York Council to provide mobile data and voice solutions.

In 2018/19, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth £945m – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

As a trusted independent telecoms provider, supplier status is a significant step in Vivio’s strategy to deliver award-winning customer service in both the B2B and public sector while providing market-leading innovative products and services.

Founder and CEO of Vivio, James Wright, said: “It’s an honour to be named as a supplier, especially amongst such tough competition. Our business continues to grow nationwide, and we have extensive growth plans in place for the coming years.

“As such, we have invested a great deal of time and money into ensuring we are ready to supply the public sector and have felt for some time that securing this framework was a logical step forward resulting in our application earlier in the year.”

He added: “Being named as a supplier allows Vivio to work with a great new market and allows us to provide the same award-winning service to the public sector as we do to the private sector.”
