Office park is acquired in £6m deal

Ridgway Office Park

An office park in Greater Manchester has been acquired in a £6m deal.

Ridgway Office Park in Denton has been acquired by Leeds-based commercial real estate company Crookshank Properties from Amerdale Investments.

Totalling 36,850 sq ft, the site includes three separate buildings and 221 car parking spaces.

Occupiers include global leader in access solutions Assa Abloy, German confectionary company Kruger and French construction company Vinci.

This is the second commercial property purchase by Crookshank Properties in the North West within the last nine months.

In December, the company bought the fully occupied 32,500 sq ft Hercules Business Park in Cheadle, near Stockport, for £5.1m from Royal London Asset Management.

A team from Yorkshire law firm Gordons including commercial property partner Michael Finnett, solicitor Jennifer Herdman and apprentice legal executive Ciaran Mallon advised Crookshank Properties on both acquisitions.

Crookshank Properties director Bernard Meehan said: “We are very pleased to have secured a highly sought-after asset in an ideal location.

“Completing this deal was one of life’s better experiences thanks to the practical advice and excellent attention to detail of our team at Gordons.

“With both Ridgway and Hercules now in our portfolio, we are actively assessing other investment opportunities in the north of England.”

Located east and south of Manchester respectively, Ridgway Office Park and Hercules Business Park both offer fast access to the M60, Manchester Airport and rail links.

Gordons commercial property solicitor Jennifer Herdman added: “This is another excellent acquisition for Crookshank

“Properties and represents a further strengthening of the company’s commercial property portfolio. We look forward to working with Bernard and his team on future deals.”
