An international construction specialist has been awarded the fit out contract for Royal London’s new office in Alderley Park.

The contract win will see Ardmac take charge of a high quality fit out.

Royal London announced it was moving from Wilmslow to Alderley Edge last year.

The scheme, designed by BDP over five floors of Block 90, will entail a high spec fit out including an 86-seat auditorium within the central atrium, a full catering kitchen with restaurant and canteen, plus bespoke office accommodation.

The building will be home to over 1,200 employees once complete.

Work on the building started at the end of September this year, with handover expected in April 2020.

Phil Chadwick, operations director at Ardmac, said; “We are delighted to be working with Royal London on the fit out of their new office building at Alderley Park.

“This fit out is the latest in a series of high profile projects we are currently completing across the North West and we are proud to be working on this landmark project”.

Nick Meikle, Royal London’s group technology said: “Ardmac was awarded this project following a competitive tender process.

“ As leading construction specialists, their impressive interiors portfolio meant they were an appropriate partner for us. We look forward to seeing our new office in Wilmslow transform over the coming months with this exciting refurbishment.”
