Recruitment firm relocates Manchester office to maintain expansion
Manchester recruitment business Search Group has relocated to a new central location.
The move comes following continued and impressive growth that has seen the company emerge as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of talent.
They have left their Central Street offices, home since 2000, for new, fully-refurbished and larger premises at Corner Block on the junction of Quay Street and Deansgate to accommodate continued growth and provide employees with an improved working environment.
As Search’s client-base has grown, so too has its workforce and all 180 of the Manchester-based recruiters will be heading to the new Corner Block offices, within which they will occupy two full floors.
Manchester-based chief operating officer Debbie Caswell said: “The offices on Central Street were a great home for the company for nearly 20 years, but it’s come a long way in that time and the time is right to move on.
“It’s important to stress though, that this move is about more than just acquiring more space. Search’s growth has only been possible because of the hard work of our amazing team and it’s right they have a place of work that reflects their achievements.
“Corner Block has open plan offices to encourage greater collaboration, more break-out areas, brand new kitchens and, generally, has a more contemporary and engaging feel.”
She added: “Our North West operations are covered by our Liverpool and Manchester offices, but it has been our Liverpool staff that have enjoyed new offices with modern amenities and facilities. It’s great that our Manchester team will finally be able to experience that, too.”
The new offices represent a time of transformation for Search with new chief executive Richard Vickers joining the company. Joining in September, he left Page Group where he held the role of regional managing director of North America since 2012.
