Specialist mortgage firm sees rapid growth with national roll-out planned
A Chorley mortgage brokers set up just nine months ago has seen growth rocket and predicts it will hit a turnover of £1.1m by the end of the first year.
Mortgage Experience was set up in February by three colleagues, Shaun Evans, Andrew Morrison and Alistair Jameson.
Since the company launched they’ve seen rapid sales growth and have gone from just two advisers in February to 15 currently, with a further six staff in admin and support.
Chief executive Shaun Evans said: “It has been an incredible year so far and we predict that growth will be even greater next year, as the amount of enquiries coming in keeps growing, so we are now on the hunt for more staff, to continue our expansion.”
Shaun is also a director at Financial Experience, a financial advice, mortgage, protection and retirement company and a qualified mortgage broker.
He saw the opportunity to create a company which focused purely on mortgages but was backed by the latest technology, enabling advisers to deal with more enquiries and provide more easy communication to clients.
He said: “We’ve got a really unique proposition here, with really experienced staff backed by the latest in financial and digital technology.
“The mortgage market got hit hard in the recession, and really never bounced back, so a lot of talent was lost, but here we have a talented team supported by industry-leading software, which means we can deal with mortgages faster and for the client, it’s a much easier process, where they can get up-to-the-minute updates on where their mortgage is up to via an app they download to their phone.”
Mortgage Experience also specialises in finding mortgages for people who have been refused by the high street lenders.
Shaun added: “It’s incredible the amount of people who have been refused mortgages, particularly if you are self-employed for example. This is an area where we’ve found our niche, because we have an experienced team who can source the best deals for someone, whatever their circumstances.”
Mortgage Experience is now expanding nationwide and will be revealing details soon of a major recruitment drive and training scheme, to bring new advisers on board.
The firm has also already been nominated for two industry awards, ‘Best New Entrant (Broker)’ and ‘Mortgage Introducer of the Year’ for the industry’s leading trade awards, the 2019 Mortgage Introducer Awards.
