Manchester property firm opens for business in Far East

Property firm Salboy International has opened a new office in Shanghai following a sharp increase in interest form Far Eastern investors.

Salboy International was launched in 2017 to market sister company Salboy’s high profile Manchester  developments.

Salboy specialises in private equity investment and property development and, along with Salboy International, is privately owned by property expert Simon Ismail and founder of the world’s largest independent bookmaker Betfred, Fred Done.

Salboy International’s new Shanghai office, situated in the Platinum Building in the exclusive central Xintiandi district, will help facilitate an expansion in its Chinese operation and will not only continue to market Manchester apartment developments such as Local Blackfriars and Local Crescent but also act as a sales agent for other developers around the world.

The agency is currently exclusively marketing a number of schemes on behalf of other developers, including a London development for Enzo Homes and a major new apartment scheme in Brisbane, Australia.

Simon Ismail, founder of Salboy International said: “As one of the most active UK developers selling to Far Eastern investors we soon realised there was a more efficient and cost effective method of marketing global property developments than was being offered by traditional property agents.

“Our business model not only delivers increased sales volumes but also de-risks much of a developer’s investment into selling internationally.

“We know from experience how to effectively forward sell any sort of development with a focus on the developer’s needs rather than the agent’s. Our new agency approach whilst reducing developer marketing costs ultimately results in better value for the purchaser.

“It is no surprise that we are being instructed to sell on behalf of other developers with a proposition that includes no marketing fees and increased brand protection. Our new larger Shanghai operation will enable us to develop this part of the business even further in a property region we already know inside out.”

Salboy International complements an overall business strategy that has also seen Salboy launch its own construction arm, Domis.

Simon added: “Keeping vital services such as construction and overseas investment sales ‘in-house’ has delivered exceptional efficiencies which have given Far Eastern investors total confidence in their investments.

“Buyers use Salboy International knowing the schemes they are investing into will not only be of the highest build quality but will also be delivered on time. This enviable track record will be maintained by us being very selective about the developments we market on behalf of other developers, who must be able to demonstrate the same exceptional experience.”

Salboy International has offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Warrington.
