International fashion label prepares to open its doors in Liverpool One

Mint Velvet lines will soon be on sale in Liverpool

Liverpool One owner Grosvenor Europe has announced that Mint Velvet is the latest international fashion label to sign at the city centre retail site, marking the British womenswear brand’s debut in the city.

Scheduled to open next month, the 1,700 sq ft boutique will be situated in the sophisticated arcade of Peter’s Lane, alongside other well-established global retailer neighbours such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Ted Baker, Armani Exchange and the newly-opened Rox Jewellers boutique.

Founded in 2009, Mint Velvet has garnered a steadfast following for its philosophy of relaxed glamour, and its focus on ‘making women feel good’ through fashion.

After a decade of growth, Mint Velvet continues to focus on an expansion of its bricks-and-mortar offering which encompasses 136 stores and luxury concessions across the UK, UAE, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

The Peter’s Lane site will be designed by an in-house team to house the brand’s stylish seasonal womenswear apparel, footwear and accessory collections.

Alison Clegg, director, asset management, Grosvenor Europe, said: “This year we’ve made considerable strides in expanding Liverpool One’s mix of fashion brands, with a strong sequence of signings, openings and upsizes.

“Peter’s Lane continues to thrive, and Mint Velvet is a welcome addition as we focus on ensuring the destination is synonymous with stylish and sought-after international fashion.”

A Mint Velvet spokesperson added: “We have recently celebrated our 10th birthday and are excited to announce the opening of this new store in Liverpool One.

“It marks the continued success of Mint Velvet and we’re delighted to be positioned with other premium brands in the city-centre location. We’re looking forward to welcoming our new Liverpool customer into the store.”

The announcement of Mint Velvet follows a successful year of signings and openings at Peter’s Lane including global fashion brand Polo Ralph Lauren and luxury jewellers Rox.

Cushman and Wakefield and Metis acted for Liverpool One. Siteworks Retail represented Mint Velvet.
