Law firm sees double digit growth thanks to series of acquisitions

Fast expanding law firm Knights says it has experienced a double digit increase in revenue thanks to the success of its recent acquisitions.

The firm has offices in Cheshire and last year acquired Turner Parkinson giving it a foothold in the Manchester market.

Since then it has expanded into larger offices in Manchester city centre.

In a trading update for the half year ended 31 October, the firm says it is reaping the benefits of extending its geographical footprint.

The company also added 43 new fee earners during the first half of the year, and says the new additions have had a similarly positive impact on its performance, which it says is “in line with market expectations.”

Knights CEO David Beech said: “We continue to make excellent progress toward the 2020 targets we set out at IPO.

“The recent acquisition in Birmingham has expanded our geographic base and provides an exciting platform for growth, following on from the significant presence we are building in Manchester.

“I am also encouraged by the Group’s continued momentum in successfully recruiting high calibre fee earners into our business, which provides a strong foundation for further growth into the full year and beyond.”
