Northern cities welcome global FinTech firms
A delegation of international FinTech companies is visiting Leeds and Manchester today and tomorrow as part of a special trade mission.
Organised by Whitecap Consulting and hosted by FinTech North, the two day mission will see businesses from Ireland, Sweden, Israel and Estonia introduced to the FinTech and financial services clusters which exist across the North West and Yorkshire.
Speaking ahead of the event Chris Sier chairman of FinTech North commented that it was fantastic to see the North of England taking it place “in a thriving national and international FinTech ecosystem”. He added that “across the North of England there are many successful financial services organisations who are looking at how FinTech can help them”.
The attending businesses include Findity, StockRepublic, Minna and PayMe, who will be introduced to key businesses and potential partners in both regions such as Barclays, AJ Bell and First Direct Bank and BJSS.
