Real estate advisors Colliers International have launched a new flexible workspace division based in Manchester headed by Patrick Kennedy.
With the support of the well-established national offices team at the Manchester office of Colliers, Patrick will provide complementary and expert holistic and impartial advice to operators and occupiers of flexible workspace in Greater Manchester, Liverpool and elsewhere in the North West of England.
He said: “The relentless pace of the co-working sector across Greater Manchester, the North West and elsewhere, shows no signs of slowing.
“Operators are constantly seeking additional space, while more and more employers are understanding the benefits of flexible workspaces as the working environment continues to evolve. I am excited to be joining the team at this pivotal stage in the company’s strategic growth.”
Patrick said while the initial focus will be on Greater Manchester, the longer-term strategy is to develop a dedicated flexible workspace team to also cover other major cities, including Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol.
Patrick joins Colliers from OBI where he was head of flexible workspace. Prior to this, he was part of the business development team at recruitment and design consultancy, Morson Group.

Influential has expanded its senior team as it continues to develop its integrated service offering.
Pete Lappin, who has worked in the communications industry for more than 15 years, has joined as client services director, heading up the PR team to ensure maximum cohesion with the agency’s digital, creative and insights service lines.
With expertise in providing board-level communications advice, Pete’s background includes delivering award-winning thought leadership campaigns and creating messaging and communications strategies for brands across the built environment, professional services, and transport sectors.
His role at Influential, which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool and London, will involve him overseeing the agency’s client roster. He will work hand-in-hand with account teams to ensure cross-departmental integration and promoting a holistic approach to client briefs.

Pete deepens the pool of strategic resource we have and will help us align our various departments to complement each other more effectively. The 30-strong agency delivers PR and communications consultancy to a range of B2B and B2C clients including Morgan Sindall Construction, Everton FC, U+I (Mayfield), Grant Thornton, Bruntwood, Shoosmiths, Camelot, Blackpool Tower, and retail and leisure destination Liverpool One.

Pete’s appointment follows the agency’s investment in its Insight team, developed to meet increasing demand for market research services. Headed by research expert Duncan Swan, the Insight service line offers concept tests, strategic market surveys, consultations, brand health studies and customer satisfaction surveys, as increasing numbers of clients look for evidence-based insight to penetrate their markets more effectively.

Pavis Financial Management has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of three new directors.
Carly Dunningham, Ross Davies and Steve Robertshaw have all been promoted to director level, joining managing director Quentin McCormick, director Julie Calvert and chairman Bob Newton on the firm’s board.
Highly-experienced financial advisor Steve Robertshaw arrived at Pavis in 2004 following six years at Standard Life, while chartered financial planners Carly Dunningham and Ross Davies both joined the firm four years ago. All three were associate directors at Pavis prior to their latest promotion.
The move follows another period of sustained growth for the firm, which relocated to a 3,000 sq ft office at 4 St Paul’s Square in Liverpool’s business district last year, and now advises clients across the UK on investments in excess of £240m.
Quentin McCormick, managing director at Pavis, said: “For many years Carly, Ross and Steve have brought their range of expertise and intelligence to bear on behalf of clients, and their efforts have been a key component of our continued expansion as a business.

Search Consultancy has appointed a managing director for its energy, scientific and new procurement and supply chain discipline
Jonathan Abell, who has vast experience in the market, joins Search having spent almost 25 years in the sector.
Having started his career with Michael Page in the mid-90s as a recruitment consultant Jonathan specialised in establishing new disciplines and leading growth, and has focused on supply chain and procurement since 2002.
Taking advantage of his track record for growing teams and building markets, and his experience and network within the business area, Search is looking to Jonathan to create and lead its new supply chain and procurement discipline. Additionally, he will take responsibility for Search’s growing energy and dcientific teams across the UK.
Jonathan will be supporting UK businesses with a specific focus on executive and management positions. He is looking to grow presence across Search’s network of regional offices as well as establishing a presence in the Midlands, an engine room for the UK’s supply chain and procurement market.
Jonathan said: “I have joined a very talented team at Search at a very exciting point in time. Under the stewardship of our new CEO, Richard Vickers, I am very much looking forward to working alongside the team and supporting the next phase of Search’s growth story.”

Anna Bowes has been promoted to associate of architect Falconer Chester Hall’s Manchester studio, having been with the firm since 2010.
Anna completed her Part 1 at Falconer Chester Hall in 2005/06 before returning to join the practice on a permanent basis in 2010. She has been integral to delivering a number of the firm’s most prominent hospitality schemes as well as helping to embed good working practices across the studio.
“I’m looking forward to having a key role in our Manchester studio and being involved in the exciting growth and development plans. We have a talented team with the ability to deliver,” said Anna.
Director Mike Gore said: “Our approach is to reward people’s growth and contribution, so I am delighted to be able to announce Anna’s promotion. Anna is based in our Manchester studio and this promotion will help cement our position in the market with our talented team.
“Anna has been responsible for a number of award-winning projects from inception to completion. Of particular note are, DoubleTree by Hilton Chester, the Putrajaya masterplan in Kuala Lumpur and, most recently, Kelaty House in Wembley, which is currently on-site.”
She is also involved in the RIBA North West mentoring programme assisting with the development and training of future architects and is integral to FCH’s own Academy programme, which mentors and develops talent within the business.
