Housebuilder in land acquisition to deliver 64 new Cheshire homes

Bellway has acquired more than four hectares of land on Rushgreen Road in Lymm.

The housebuilder will transform the site into a new residential development, delivering 64 high-quality homes, including a mix of three- and four-bedroom properties.

Known as Sandstone Brook, the development’s name was specially chosen to reflect local heritage, with sandstone used to form the steps at the base of the Lymm Cross, the only Grade I-listed structure in the Warrington area, as well as sandstone formations being located at Lymm Dam.

In addition to the properties planned, Bellway will also provide an expansive public open space area at Sandstone Brook which will house a community park, as well as a pathway leading directly to the canal tow path.

Lynne Duxbury, sales director at Bellway, said: “We are pleased to unveil our plans for Sandstone Brook in Lymm. With its sought-after village location and superb selection of three- and four-bedroom properties, we anticipate plenty of interest in this development.”

Bellway will also make several significant financial contributions, including a healthcare contribution of £49,344, a secondary education contribution of £177,881, more than £15,000 towards a new playing pitch and a £5,000 traffic regulation order.

The development will launch early next year, with the show home expected to open in Spring 2020.
