Star of TV show ‘Botched’ launches first non-surgical MedSpa in MediaCityUK

Dr Paul Nassif and his MedSpa team

Celebrity facial and reconstructive plastic surgeon Dr Paul Nassif and his Manchester-based business partner, Amanda Richardson, have launched their first Nassif MedSpa in MediaCityUK.

Household name and star of ITVBe & E! TV show ‘Botched’, Dr Nassif earmarked Peel L&P’s ‘The Alex’ building in MediaCityUK to launch his non-surgical MedSpa concept following the success of his world-renowned MedSpa in Beverly Hills, California.

In the field of non-surgical treatments Dr Nassif is an industry name associated with safety and trust and he has brought his high-profile concept into the heart of MediaCityUK where he oversees a team of medical experts from across the UK.

The MedSpa is an exact replica of Dr Nassif’s Beverly Hills clinic and will specialise in non-surgical procedures such as antiwrinkle injections, dermal fillers, laser hair removal, laser skin rejuvenation and body contouring.

In addition, the MedSpa will offer alternative therapies including vitamin drips, facial acupuncture, Gua Sha and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Amanda Richardson said: “As Dr Nassif is such a big name in this country – ‘Botched’ is aired in 160 countries and the UK has the second largest viewing audience – it made sense for the UK to be the next location we expanded the MedSpa brand too.

“We earmarked MediaCityUK as Dr Nassif’s first UK base for several reasons. As a destination it’s centrally located and easily accessible, plus, a recent industry survey showed the demand for non-surgical procedures such as anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers to be higher in the North West than in London.

“The UK has many skilled and capable plastic surgeons and non-surgical doctors, however, there are not yet any major household names like Dr Nassif’s.

“Demand for non-surgical aesthetics in the UK is fast catching up with the USA and has become socially acceptable.

“However, the UK has less regulation than other countries and unless patients are already informed or have extensively researched, they are vulnerable to the consequences of selecting practitioners who are not medically trained or sufficiently experienced in this field.”

She added: “Following the success of our MediaCityUK MedSpa we plan to roll-out the concept in cities across the UK with London earmarked to be the location for the next one.”

Dr Nassif is also bringing his skincare line NassifMD Dermaceuticals to the UK where it will be sold exclusively at the MedSpa in MediaCityUK.

Chris Reay, property director of MediaCityUK, said: “The MedSpa is a fantastic addition to MediaCityUK and the fact that we were earmarked by Dr Nassif as the first location in the UK to launch his concept is testament to our accessible world-class, internationally recognised destination. We are sure the MedSpa will be a tremendous success here.”
