A national logistics group which has its headquarters in Cheshire has strengthened its partnership with St Helens RLFC by becoming a shirt sponsor for the 2020 Betfred Super League Season.

Kinaxia Logistics’ logo will feature on the right side of the chest on the Saints’ home and away kits.

The company, which has its base in Macclesfield, already partners with St Helens through in-stadium branding and has now extended its involvement with the kit deal.

Kinaxia is a top 20 UK logistics group in the transport and warehouse sector.

Comprising 12 companies with a total of 1,800 staff and 920 vehicles, the group has two million sq ft of warehouse facilities nationwide, offering contract packing, e-fulfilment, returns management and storage services.

One of its operating companies is Mark Thompson Transport, which is based in Warrington.

Director Mark Thompson’s son Luke plays for St Helens and is a Great Britain and England international.

Mark Stevenson, group compliance, training and recruitment director at Kinaxia, said: “We are delighted to support St Helens with this sponsorship for the upcoming season. It means a great deal to Kinaxia and our companies.

“Having our group brand and logo on the team shirts, and to be associated with the 2019 Betfred Super League champions and Grand Final winners, is a fantastic opportunity to get national brand recognition through rugby league.

“We are also proud to have Mark Thompson Transport as one of Kinaxia’s operating companies, with Luke Thompson, son of director Mark, being a key part of the St Helens team.”

Saints’ general manager, Dave Hutchinson, said: “We are thrilled Kinaxia Logistics have decided to extend their support with us ahead of next season.

“We are excited about the launch of the club’s new kits and we are confident they will go down a storm with the fans and this can only benefit Kinaxia Logistics.

“We look forward to working with Kinaxia further throughout 2020 and beyond.”

St Helens kick off the 2020 season with a home game against Salford Red Devils on Friday, January 31.
