Manchester tech firm expands with first US office

A tech firm specialising in world-class intranets and business solutions will be opening a new office in Chicago next month.

WM Reply’s US office will complement its existing locations in Manchester, Chester and London.

Initially, there will be a drive for 24 new recruits in the new office, who will be responsible for delivering on WM Reply’s primary focus on intranets and adoption and change management for US customers.

Richard Acreman is partner at WM Reply and the individual responsible for heading up the company’s US expansion. He said: “I’m incredibly proud of the growth we have achieved at WM Reply and I’m looking forward to this next stage of our journey.

“The tech sector in Chicago is thriving and it’s no secret the city is home to some of the best talent around, so it was an easy choice when deciding where to choose for our location.”

Chicago is fast-establishing itself as a tech destination, with the city now ranking sixth in the world as an innovation hub, according to KPMG’s annual Global Technology Innovation Report.

Within the US it sits second in the rankings for undergraduate computer science degrees and third for the speed with which it’s gaining tech talent.

The opening of an office in Chicago is just one part of a global expansion that will see 60 new positions created within the company in 2020.
