Napthens solicitors has revealed its growth plans for its business in Liverpool – including an office expansion and a recruitment drive.

The regional law firm opened its offices in the city in 2018, at The Plaza building on Old Hall Street, and since then has become a firm part of Liverpool’s business community, acting for clients across the city region including Abbey Logistics Group, Joloda International, Heritage Great Britain plc and Ludlow Wealth Management.

Now, Gareth McIntegart, head of Napthens’ Liverpool office and a well-respected corporate lawyer in the Liverpool legal sector with a career of more than 25 years in the city, has revealed the firm’s future plans.

These include recruitment of at least six new staff in the coming months, including specialists in corporate, litigation and real estate, along with support staff.

Further investment into the city is expected to take place including a move to larger premises.

Also, as part of the firm’s growth in Liverpool, David Carr is joining the Liverpool office.

David, a senior associate solicitor, is moving from the firm’s East Lancashire office to the city where he will work closely alongside Gareth in driving the growth of the office.

A former Liverpool-based lawyer, who trained at Halliwells before spending time working in London, the Channel Islands and in Manchester with Brabners, David will advise clients across the whole range of corporate finance transactional work, including M&A and private equity.

Gareth, previously a partner and head of corporate at law firms DLA Piper and DWF, said: “Liverpool is key to Napthens’ future growth plans in the region.

“As our client base has expanded, we’ve naturally needed to recruit staff and this year we are planning further investment into the city with a review of our current premises with the aim of moving to larger offices to gear up for the growth that we are seeing.

“We are keen to demonstrate our commitment to both the business and professional services community and our clients that we are very much here to stay – we’ve made significant strides over the last two years and intend to build on this growth and our successes so far.”

Napthens operates from offices in Southport, Lancashire and Cumbria offering a range of services for both business and individuals.
